GOTV Walk/Call Lists, PC Strategy Work, Govern your party
If you clicked, read and did the measures set forth on the opening page in our 'How-To' document, then you are now a candidate.
Congratulations!
You are now embarked on the great journey and you not only
receive the great legacy of the men and women who made our country
great - you are now contributing to that legacy!
You have our deepest and most profound respect. You are on the ballot, so let's help get you elected!
Getting elected starts with the basic idea that you want to get your name before each voter at least 7 times before election day. A tough proposition. Since absentee ballots are gaining traction in our busy society, your calendar target is not really 'election day' although that is important - your more important deadline is the day that absentee ballots hit the mailboxes of each household in your district. Many old political pros consider this the day that you actually win (or lose) your election. Research shows that 90% of the folks who are permanent absentee ballot voters mark their ballots the day they receive them! So looking at the 2010 June 8 primary, many of the people who could be voting for you are marking their ballots on or about May 10.
