GOTV Walk/Call Lists, PC Strategy Work, Govern your party
Door Hangers
http://www.blanksandbags.com/ - they have a special for free shipping if you pay with google checkout. I have never used them before and will report back. I ordered 1050 (3 up) door hangers that will print on a normal ink jet printer 3 at a time - then just separate them as you walk your district - they simply tear apart. These arrived after only a couple of days wait (shipped from Hollywood, FL) and were pretty much as advertised. The perforations separateing the 3-up dorhhangers were a little rough, but the perf for the door hanger cut-outs were regular laser perf. Very nice. For one example Word document, see the download below (door.hanger.generic.doc) Idea: print one side with your candidacy information and the reverse side with motivational text and contact info for potential volunteers. You'll end up being very glad if you are constantly recruiting volunteers. You will need them in the future, and controlling an active volunteer base will make you a 'power' in the local party. Business Cards - of course, you can buy laser-perf business cards at any Staples or Office Depot. Go to the form vendors web site (usually promoted on the packaging) to download a Word template so you can produce professional-looking business cards quickly.
Robo-Calls
Mac Wright owns www.win-your-race.com. He provides high-volume robocalls for political candidates.
We have used his service for 20,000+ calls at a time to promote county-wide rallies of the Tulsa County Republican Party and will be using this same method to call the 3s and 4s to promote attendance as Precinct Caucuses on March 5th. His prices per call are 2.5¢ per call for a 30-second call and 3.0¢ for a 45-second call.
For low-volume calls, say 300-400 calls to households in a precinct, I use www.call-em-all.com at the rate of 9¢ a call. You can upload an Excel or csv file containing last name, first name, and a 10-digit phone number. Then call an 800 number to record and schedule your call. You can monitor call results in real time. Surveys are supported.
I do know www.gopcalls.com offers the survey type of call and many other highly-sophisticated types of calls. (Bear in min, gopcalls is designed for multiple thousands of calls at a time.)
If you aren't/can't use PROCINCT to share your walk lists on the internets, Voter Data from Greg Perry - http://www.perrypoliticalsoftware.com/ - Greg is very personable to work with and charges only $95 both both his specialized software and the voter data for your district. The data includes absentee ballot info and email addresses where available. If you work the absentee ballot data really hard, you could have your election sealed up before election day! …
